It’s all things Native American at the Hagood Mill Historic Site. The annual Selugado event begins this evening at 6:30 at the Heritage Pavilion with Pickens County Historical Society Vice President Dennis Chastain presenting a program entitled “Corn, Beans & Squash: Everlasting Gifts From the Cherokee.” Capt. Robert Rambo (US Army, ret) will then present “Chief Charles R. Hicks and the ‘Cherokee Patriots’ of Sequoyah’s Generation.” You don’t want to miss this free event. Tomorrow the historic grounds will be alive with drumming, music, dancing, and local Native American lore. Bring the kids to hand paint the horses! We’ll see you there!
